Step 1 - Get in touch
Call, text or email us with any questions or to discuss your ideas. We'll have a quick chat about your property, what you want to achieve and your ideal
timeframe.
Step 2 - Discuss your options
We'll recommend the right cabin size and layout for you and provide ballpark pricing based on your needs and any upgrades you're considering.
Step 3 - Design and Quote
We'll refine the details, confirm inclusions and provide a detailed quote so you know exactly what's involved.
Step 4- Sign & Deposit
Ready to start? We'll sign the contract and secure your deposit to book your build. Deposits are fully refundable until three days before we begin, giving us time to manage materials and orders. We look forward to getting your project on schedule.
Step 5- We Build your cabin
Your cabin is built. Most cabins take between 2-4 weeks to complete depending on size and whether it's built on-site or off-site.
Step 6 - Delivery and Completion
We deliver to site, complete any final works and walk you through your new cabin. The balance payment is made, and you enjoy your cabin.

5 things every Kiwi should know
Before Buying a Cabin
Most small cabins can be built without building consent
In New Zealand, detached buildings between10m² and 30m² are typically exempt from building consent under Schedule 1. Clause 2.2 of the NZ Building Code. This can save you time, cost and paperwork. This exemption covers basic cabins without plumbing. If you add a bathroom or kitchen (connecting to council services) or if your project doesn't meet the rules, consent will be required.
Planning rules still apply
Even when exempt from building consent, your local District Plan rules still apply. These cover things like how close you can build to boundaries, maximum height, distance from other buildings, and how much permeable (natural) surface your section must have.
Think about future amenities.
You can build an exempt cabin now and add a bathroom or kitchen later by applying for consentat that time. We can design your cabin with future plumbing in mind so the upgrade is simple and
cost effective when you're ready.
